The festive period has arrived! And we all know what that means ... Mince pies, mulled wine, indulgent food & Christmas parties.
The run up to Christmas and New years always feels like an excuse to let everything go and indulge only for us to feel pretty shitty come January. Time becomes limited, trying to fit in a workout whilst working, Christmas shopping & attending social gatherings can seem impossible.
Here a few tips to stay on top and enjoy the extra food and drink guilt free!
High intensity interval training is a super effective way to burn calories quickly when you are short on time. Pushing your body to the max you will leave feeling energised and on top of the world.
Burning the candles at both ends is a recipe for disaster, do it for to long and your body wont be able to keep up. Try and aim for 8 hours sleep every night.
EAT A BALANACED DIET
Okay so this is easier said than done but trying to stick to a healthy diet throughout the festive period will leave you feeling happier come the New Year! When cooking why not make larger portions so when you come home after a busy day Christmas shopping you can simply reheat!
When sipping ALL the cocktails & mulled wine it is so important to stay hydrated. Aim for 8 glasses of water per day, not only will it keep you feeling switched on and energised it will keep your skin and hair looking on top form.
